RedBull initially started off as an energy drink brand from Thailand that later involved to become the most prominent extreme sport/media outlet in the world. It always amazes me how RedBull got to where they are at today, ranking #74 on Forbe’s list “World’s Most Valuable Brands” at 7.9 billion USD.

Get close to mother nature and experience her force like never before. In this stunning 360 video by RedBull, climb deep into the earth alongside with explorer Ella Lohmann and her husband Sebastian Hofmann into the volcano lava lake unlike any you’ve seen before.

The footage was shot to preview the full episode of Red Bull’s Explorers series, you can download the app here and watch it whenever you like. The volcano is located in Vanuatu, a country located in the South Pacific Ocean made up of dozens of islands. Volcanoes in this region are some of the most dangerous in the world, and the deadliest one being the Benbow volcano.

Benbow is the world’s largest emitter of poisonous gases, with a depth of 300 meters. The climbers descend under planet earth into the volcano near the lava lake where temperatures reach 2000°F (1093°C).

The volcanoes on the island make living difficult on a daily bases for local villagers, as the volcanic activity can affect water’s acidity, making drinking water toxic and destroys crops. The region was also recently hit by a cyclone as well as a volcanic eruption which devastated villagers lives, making this filming process even more difficult than ever before.
